Documentation › Hunting System › Common Issues
Quick fixes for the most common problems.
The item is missing in your inventory. Check the console summary on start: with ox_inventory, paste install/ox_items_missing.lua into ox_inventory/data/items.lua and restart the server.
Copy everything from install/images/ into your inventory's image folder. The tablet also looks in the image folders of all supported inventories.
The models are streamed by this resource. Remove any separate s_hunting_props resource. If open and closed look swapped, swap openModel and closedModel in config_traps.lua.
The vehicle must be in Config.Carcass.allowedVehicles and the carcass must not be skinned. On servers without OneSync set Config.Carcass.trustClientModel = true.
Run /adminh once: the server console prints your identifiers. Put the license: one into Config.Admins, or give yourself the ACE smilescripts_hunting.admin, then restart the resource.
Either you have no valid license (buy one in the tablet's Shop tab) or the hides come from a protected species. Sell those on the black market, or set Config.License.requiredToSellLegal = false / empty protectedAnimals.
Check that the officer's job is in Config.Police.jobs and that they are on duty. Set Config.Poaching.dispatch = 'builtin' to rule out the dispatch resource.
At least minPlayersOnline players must be online. Test with /huntlegend, then walk into the gold circle on the map; the legend spawns when a hunter gets within about 150 m.
Buying and selling only work next to the NPCs. The remote tablet (command, key or item) never shows the shop or selling.
The animal wasn't spawned by the hunting script (e.g. an admin menu spawn), so the server refuses it. With Config.Debug = true the console shows the reason. If it happens to normal zone animals, set Config.AnimalGuard.enable = false and send us the log.
A fresh kill is reserved for the shooter and their party for 3 minutes (Config.Ownership.lockSeconds). Wait, join their party, or turn ownership off.
Update to 1.4.1 or newer: the ESX built-in inventory is supported since then.
Still stuck? Set Config.Debug = true, restart the resource and send us the server console output.
